Step 1
Sift flour and cardamom together into a large bowl; add salt. Make a well in the center.
Step 2
Add MILKMAID, egg and milk. Whisk until a smooth batter forms.
Step 3
Heat oil in medium frying pan; working in batches, dip 1 piece of banana at a time into batter and allow excess batter to drain.
Step 4
Fry in batches, for 1- 2 minutes each side or until golden and cooked through. Drain on absorbent paper. Dust with icing sugar. If desired serve with Golden syrup/Treacle.
