You will need

  • Flour 350g
  • Butter 150g
  • Cocoa Powder 3tbs
  • Baking Powder 1tsp
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Milkmaid 300g
  • Egg 1
  • Brown Sugar 75g
  • Ginger powder 2tbs
  • Baking Soda ½ tsp
  • Icing topping:
  • Icing Sugar 100g
  • Butter 50g
  • Milkmaid 150g

Let’s make it

Step 1
Add butter and Milkmaid into a bowl and beat it well. Then add ginger, sugar and the egg before mixing it well.
Step 2
Mix baking powder, salt and cocoa powder into the flour, then add it into the butter mixture to make a soft dough. Let it rest for 25 minutes before refrigerating.
Step 3
Layer out the dough and cut the cookies with a cutter before placing them in a baking tray to bake in 180’c for 12 minutes.
Icing topping:
Step 1
Add butter and icing sugar into a bowl and beat it well. Once beaten, add the egg white and Milkmaid to make a smooth cream. Then put into a piping bag and draw the face of the gingerbread man then leave to dry.
